The Senior Supply Chain Network Analyst will design, evaluate, and deploy strategic sourcing and network models to drive decisions to achieve GAF’s strategic objectives. In this role, you will develop supply chain network models and scenarios using Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru software (SCGx), proposing scenarios and recommendations to senior leadership to optimize production and distribution footprints, leading to improved efficiency, increased capacity, improved service, cost savings or avoidance, risk mitigation, and/or long-term strategic initiatives. You will work collaboratively with members across Supply Chain Analytics, Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing, and Finance, where you will also assist in the development of various business cases to justify further investment into GAF’s operations network. The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills, critical thinking skills, and written / verbal communication skills.
50% - Supply Chain Network Model Design & Analysis - Develop and deploy optimization models to drive strategic and tactical decisions across Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Transportation, and Logistics.
20% - I ntegrated S&OP Analysis - Drive organizational review of supply chain opportunities, processes, and risks in the context of Sales & Operational Planning on a monthly basis. Develop and present recommendations of monthly/quarterly sourcing optimization of specific products.
20% - An nual Planning - Lead and deliver critical components of the Annual Plan as required for the Supply Chain organization. Analyze risks and opportunities related to the Plan, provide insights, recommendations, and communicate key updates, milestones, and changes.
5% - St rengthen Analytics Capabilities - provide technical leadership and expertise to drive solutions to enhance the overall analytical capabilities across Supply Chain.
5% - O ther Duties - perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Knowledge / Skills:
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated proficiency and experience in developing supply chain network models using modeling software, LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru
Advanced proficiency in use of predictive analytics programs or languages (i.e. Alteryx, R, Python, or other statistical methods)
Experience in Data Visualization (Tableau) and Data Extraction / Transformation Tools (Alteryx)
Advanced proficiency in leveraging large and complex data sets to support business decisions
General Knowledge / Skills:
Advanced critical thinking, problem solving, & analytical skills
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task & handle multiple projects simultaneously
General knowledge of transportation, logistics, supply chain, and/or finance
Proactive and curious
Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Operations Research, Logistics/Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or equivalent experience
3 – 5 years related experience in a Logistics/Supply Chain environment conducting analysis and developing supply chain and / or strategic sourcing models
APICS certification desirable
