The Director of Network Infrastructure is a critical role in the evolution and operations of the network infrastructure for GAF. As more work is done remotely and dependent on network access, the need for a robust and reliable network infrastructure is essential to enabling GAF to achieve its business goals. This role requires someone with the vision to see opportunities for improvement, the desire to lead a team through change and the tenacity to get things done.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Direct and lead the day to day operations of the GAF voice and admin data networks
Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for voice and data networks that is aligned with overall business objectives including capacity planning, growth and shifts to the cloud
Manage network uptime to meet business SLAs
Review and manage annual operating and capital budget of $6m-$8m for all aspects of voice and data networks including carrier costs, hardware, software, maintenance, travel, training, etc.
Review and negotiate contracts for fixed and recurring services as needed
Provide leadership to the Network Operations teams by setting clear priorities and allocating resources.
Demonstrated experience in leading infrastructure and technical services for all I/T technology domains, including PCs, networks, telecommunications, servers, cybersecurity, and helpdesk
Experience with both data center and cloud environments
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with business and technology leaders to develop and execute plans
Exceptional relationship management skills and an ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
Resilient and capable of dealing with ambiguity and change
Experienced team leader who inspires results, perpetual learning, and development
Minimum 10 years experience and a successful track record of leading and managing an IT Infrastructure team
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical and/or business area or equivalent experience; advanced degree is a plus
Familiarity with manufacturing environments helpful
