Summary : The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst is a key analytical resource within the GAF Finance team focused on comprehensive financial analysis of the Commercial business segment.

Reporting to the Business Director - Commercial, he/she provides financial guidance to the Commercial business segment through alignment in the business planning process and delivery of accurate and insightful financial analysis and forecasts.

Essential Duties:

  • Supports the Business Director - Commercial in the ownership of the full Commercial business P&L and comprehensive financial analysis of the business performance including pricing, raw material costs, manufacturing performance, distribution costs, etc.

  • Manages the financial analysis of monthly & quarterly performance as well as supporting the Business Director - Commercial in forward looking analysis of business impacts to mitigate risk and create value through opportunities

  • Collaborates with other product line analysts to complete the monthly Commercial business forecast for the Business Director – Commercial and Director of Finance

  • Provides quarterly update of entire line to the Commercial Leadership team, including the Executive Chairman of Commercial Roofing

  • Supports the Marketing team in the quantification of financial impacts related to product line initiatives, product roadmaps, new product launches, SKU rationalization, etc.

  • ProvideanalyticalsupporttokeyCommercialgrowthandstrategicinitiatives

  • Proactively monitors prevailing market conditions and offers insights to sales team

  • Identifies opportunities for margin improvements through detailed analysis of current P&L, as well as incorporating information from new data streams (e.g. SalesForce) to further refine reporting and analytics

Under This Roof, We Require

  • Bachelor degree in Finance/Economics/Accounting or related field.

  • 5+ years of related business work experience

  • Experience with variance analysis

  • Internal candidates required to have experience with Profitability Analysis and financial reporting/forecasting.

  • Intermediate knowledge of corporate financial analysis/accounting functions

  • Intermediate skills of application and analytical concepts

  • Knowledge of TM1 and/or PeopleSoft is a plus

  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Intermediate problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
