Job Description:

The GAF Marketing Project Management Center of Excellence is expanding and searching for a team-oriented, problem-solver to lead key business projects. This Project Manager role has end-to-end accountability for the successful delivery of projects, products, and key initiatives. This highly visible role will drive cross-functional teams (Operations, R&D, Finance, and Marketing) to achieve business outcomes and interface with all levels of management, including executive leadership.

The primary responsibility of this position is to lead business development activities, including the creation of new business services and production of new consumer-facing products. Projects will vary in size and complexity. This role is an exciting opportunity that will provide you with a unique platform to launch or grow your career inside GAF.

Essential Duties

● 70% Project Management

  • Plan, manage and deliver new products and services. This includes directing and overseeing multiple cross-functional project teams' work in accordance with GAF’s latest Project Methodology guidelines, identifying and escalating issues that could cause variance from the project plan, and communicating with senior management. The types of projects include modifications to GAF’s existing product line, fabrication of new roofing products, and the development of cutting-edge services, digital tools, and technologies.

● 20% Process Development

  • Support the Marketing Center of Excellence and the Business Optimization & Agility teams’ implementation of the GAF Project Methodology Playbook by utilizing its framework when managing projects, coaching/training team members in the techniques outlined in the playbook, and collaborating on its future iterations.

● 10% Project Communication

  • Facilitates and delivers executive updates, governance meetings, project status meetings, project status reports, communication plans, etc.

Education/Experience

● Bachelor’s Degree Required, MBA Preferred

● Minimum 5 years of related project/program management work experience

● PMP Certification is preferred but not required

● Scrum or comparable Agile Certification is preferred but not required

● Strong skills in Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) are preferred but not required

● Budget Responsibility: Project focused only

● Travel Requirements: 10%
