Summary

The Senior HR Specialist serves as the liaison to employees and managers in a shared services support environment and/or business location(s). Acts as a primary point of contact for employees to support, respond, handle, answer and action issues/questions regarding policies, procedures, and HR systems. The Senior HR Specialist will lead and manage projects associated with organizational and process redesign as well as program and policy improvements.

Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Resolve incoming HR transactions requests and inquiries through ServiceNow case management system relating to a variety of areas including but not limited to onboarding, benefits, leave and disability programs, reimbursement programs, unemployment, workers’ compensation, and offboarding

  • Responsible for Tier 2 or 3 resolutions with backup support of Tier 1 cases from both general employee population as well as HR business partners and COEs

  • Own a distinct portion of the Service Center Catalog such as onboarding, recruitment, offboarding, specific HR policies/programs, or HR Systems liaison (including ServiceNow administration support)

  • Guide, support, maintain and administer HR programs, policies, and procedures

  • Ensure implementation and utilization of policies, procedures, programs associated with staffing, payroll, compensation and benefits, employee development and training, along with HR information systems through clear communication campaigns Ensure that policies and procedures are followed and in compliance with applicable laws.

  • Serve as an HRIS or application(s) “SuperUser” including but not limited to identification of system enhancements, upgrades, or implementations, HR systems training and change management for any system changes, data entry and new service buildout support HR functions and employees alike

  • Recommend system enhancements for HR systems; participate in required implementations or upgrades.

  • Conducts all virtual new hire orientations across sites and owns HQ orientation

  • Provide response and support on a variety of HR related programs such as benefits, leave, disability programs, reimbursement programs, unemployment, workers’ compensation, etc.

  • Managing and maintaining incoming and outgoing temporary employees across sites.

  • Assist with the development of all process documentation and promotional material for the Service Center, as well as all legal and compliance posters

  • Participate in HR functional work teams for process enhancement, service buildout and other project related work

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Under This Roof, We Require

  • Bachelor Degree in HR or related field

  • 5+ years of broad and progressive HR experience

  • Previous experience working in shared services environments and HR technologies. Process improvement, data analytics, and development experience are required

  • Proven experience managing multi-workstream and medium-to-large-scale projects

  • Spanish a+ Ability to travel 15%

  • Knowledge and experience in technologies, tools, and applications, such as ADP products, WorkDay/HRIS systems, SAP. Particular emphasis required in working with formal case management systems such as Neocase, Service Now, SalesForce HR or Oracle products.

  • Ability to clearly and concisely present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public

  • Ability to analyze basic issues and determine appropriate solutions

  • Ability to gather, synthesize and analyze data, draw conclusions and summarize recommendations

  • Ability to use good judgment, problem solve and handle confidential information appropriately

  • Strong customer-service orientation, be organized, flexible, detail-oriented, proactive, and maintain a high level of personal credibility.

  • Excellent communication and PC skills in MS Office or Google products

  • Ability to multitask and manage a fluctuating workload
