GAF Senior Paid Media Specialist in Parsippany, New Jersey

Job Description:

As a Sr. Paid Media Specialist at GAF, you will do far more than simply manage online advertising. You will be responsible for ensuring paid media projects are successfully planned, accurately executed, and performance goals attained, thus contributing to the growth of the company. You will work with two agencies (paid and search) to develop digital strategies and plans across multiple platforms (SEM, Paid Social & Programmatic Media) reaching both B2C and B2B audiences. You will ensure paid media strategies are aligned with overarching marketing goals and deliver against key objectives across all audiences for the company.

Daily responsibilities include:

Overall paid media:

  • Oversee and manage a sizable paid media budget

  • Plan media on an annual and quarterly basis and gain alignment with colleagues and Marketing Leaders.

  • Define and measure relevant paid media KPIs and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Create and deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reports and recommendations for leadership and stakeholder meetings.

  • Stay on top of new and emerging industry trends, technologies, and platform advancements

  • Provide Paid media competitive analysis and benchmarking

  • Provide recommendations to colleagues on types of ads and number of messages per audience that should be created to align with the agency’s recommended media plan.

Campaign activation:

  • Connect with campaign owners (Integrated Marketing) to understand campaign goals and objectives, and recommend media tactics to achieve goals

  • Responsible for ensuring ads are active in the market on time and plans are optimized to achieve goals.

  • Provide recommendations to colleagues on goals, KPIs, CTAs, ads, etc.

  • Provide ongoing actionable insights into campaign performance to relevant stakeholders

  • Make sure digital ads are delivered to the media agency on time and activated correctly in markets.

Cross functional:

  • Working cross-departmentally to align digital campaign strategies and goals across the organization

  • Partner with social media, communications, retail and channel teams to align on strategies, and targeting.

  • Work closely with Digital Analytics team on Google Analytics tagging, tracking and automated reporting.

  • Work with Analytics team and agency to conduct in-depth keyword and website research, ad grouping and audience targeting

Required skillset:

  • 3 - 5 years of digital experience, specifically in paid media.

  • At least three years of agency management experience and managing multiple budgets and campaigns across various digital advertising channels including paid search, paid social, display, retargeting, video, etc.

  • A deep understanding of digital marketing tactics across channels including SEO, SEM, Paid Social, Programmatic and Direct Partnerships

  • Inquisitive mindset with the ability to synthesize complex data and determine root cause of ad performance.

  • Translate into clear and actionable recommendations to colleagues with the goal of improving performance.

  • Desire to further evolve paid media so we’re capitalizing on new opportunities.

  • Deadline-driven with superior project management skills to deliver on-time and accurate deployment of campaigns.

  • Experience using Google Analytics and Tableau.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
