Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager, Asphalt Roofing Systems to join our Commercial Marketing team. The marketing team is responsible for product and brand management. The group develops business to business marketing strategy and is heavily involved in hands-on general management and execution within manufacturing and operations. GAF’s performance culture and relatively flat organization give tremendous opportunity to make a difference and deliver impact with a relatively high degree of autonomy in a lean and fast-paced environment.Commercial asphalt roofing is a growth area for GAF and the Senior Product Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the category and implementing the strategy for modified bitumen roofing systems including built up roofing, APP and SBS technologies.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

● New Product Development: work cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, Codes and Testing, Commercial CARE, Customer Insights, and Sales teams to identify and execute new product introductions. Multiple new product introductions expected on an annual basis.

● Work closely with Sales and customers to evaluate opportunities to grow sales within the current product offering

● Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure the all documentation including packaging, websites, and all other product information is up to date

● Marketing Management: develop a strategic marketing agenda; apply creativity and flair to realize agenda through promotions, videos, literature and samples, advertising, and merchandising.

● Business Review and Optimization: identify and realize business improvements on enhancement of mix and profitability

● Present information at trade shows, technical forums, to internal Sr. management etc. as necessary

Requirements:

● 5-7+ years of relevant experience in strategic brand or product management experience and the commitment and passion to apply this experience in a business to business marketing setting

● Low slope commercial roofing experience with modified bitumen products and technologies strongly preferred

● Candidate should be a self-starter and a fast learner, natural leader, collaborative, and possess extremely strong interpersonal-skills

● Ability to present and interface directly with the sales team and customers; strong project management and multi-tasking skills required

● MBA preferred but not mandatory

● Ability to travel 40% if remote; 25% if Parsippany-based
